FC Cincinnati have announced the signing of Irish midfielder Richie Ryan from Miami FC.
The 33-year-old midfielder joins the United Soccer League (USL) club having spent the past four seasons in the North American Soccer League (NASL) with Ottawa Fury, Jacksonville Armada and Miami.
“Richie is an incredibly talented midfielder who has the skill-set to connect all players on the pitch through his vision and play-making ability,” Cincinnati Head Coach Alan Koch told the club’s official website.
“His experience and leadership will be invaluable to the group as we enter the 2018 season. We look forward to welcoming him and his family to Cincinnati.”
In joining FC Cincinnati, Ryan, who also counts Sligo Rovers and Shamrock Rovers among his former clubs, will be linking up with fellow ex-League of Ireland player Paddy Barrett, who joined FCC late last year.
