Wolves striker Joe Mason has been linked with a move to Major League Soccer side Colorado Rapids, according to reports from the Washington Post and Daily Mirror.
The 26-year-old played for the Republic of Ireland’s youth teams between 2008 and 2011, qualifying through his Mayo-born mother. However, he has not gained international recognition at senior level.
Mason signed for Wolves from Cardiff City in 2015, but has only played 35 Championship games for the club since his arrival. He spent part of this season on loan at Burton Albion, where he scored on his debut.
The move to MLS would likely be a loan switch, rather than the permanent deal that saw former Wolves team-mate Jack Price join Colorado Rapids in January.
