The friendly organised on the back of the Irish fans’ successful bonding with the locals during the European Championships last summer has come around and it may once again be left up to the fans to carry the occasion tomorrow night. The FAI, in association with Dublin County Council, the Polish FA and the Gathering Ireland have organised a pre-game supporters’ friendly in Ringsend tomorrow afternoon as some entertainment for the visitors before the main event. Reports have suggested that the crowd for the actual game may be near the 40,000 mark due to strong interest from the Polish community in Ireland. The team named by Irish manager, Giovanni Trapattoni, may be seen by the away side as further evidence of the Irish generosity of spirit.
